Release highlights
NOTE - As of v4.00.04, there are a couple of changes in the way the Fermilab kits
are produced.
- For the gcc builds, default qualifiers are now threadsafe, exceptions, and
debug. So the exceptions qualifier from previous versions has been replaced by
nothing, and a version which does not contain exception handling has qualifier
--noexceptions
- For GL use, we are now compiling with the native GL libraries instead of the
old mesa v3_0_f1. Thus at run time, on a FermiLinux machine, you will be
linking against/running the GL libs in /usr/lib. mesa 3.0 is getting old, and
the new system GL libs in the FNAL distributions will serve us better.
